Report content
Found a kit, listing, image or shop on Ownkit that you believe is illegal, for example because it copies someone else's work, or that breaks our Terms of Service or Seller terms? Tell us by email. You do not need an account.
In short
- Email us the link to the content and explain why it is illegal or breaks our terms.
- Add your name and email address, and confirm that your report is accurate and made in good faith.
- We confirm receipt, decide carefully and tell you what we did.
1. Send your report
Email address for reports: info@ownkit.cloud
If you think someone's life or safety is in danger, contact the police or emergency services first.
2. What to include
A complete report helps us act quickly. Please include:
- Where it is: the exact web address (URL) of the kit, shop or page, for example ownkit.cloud/kits/example. If it is inside a kit file, also name the file.
- Why: a clear explanation of why you believe the content is illegal, or which rule of our terms it breaks. If it is about your copyright or other rights, say which work or right, and that you are the owner or act for the owner.
- Who you are: your name and email address, so we can reply. You may leave these out only if your report concerns child sexual abuse material.
- Good faith: a statement that you believe in good faith that the information and claims in your report are accurate and complete.
3. What happens next
- We confirm by email that we received your report.
- A person reviews it, carefully, objectively and without undue delay. We may ask you for more information. We tell you if we use automated tools to handle a report.
- We tell you our decision and the ways you can challenge it.
- If we remove or restrict content, we take it offline or stop showing it. Buyers who already own a kit that was removed for legal reasons may lose access to it where the law requires that.
4. Statement of reasons for makers
If we remove, restrict or demote a maker's kit, listing or shop, or suspend their account or payouts, we send the maker a statement of reasons. It tells them:
- what we did, and for how long if it is temporary;
- the facts and circumstances, including whether the action followed a report;
- whether we used automated means to detect the content or to decide;
- the law the content breaks, or the rule in our terms, and why;
- how they can ask us to reconsider, and that they can go to court.
We do not share the name of the person who reported the content with the maker, unless the report is about their intellectual property rights and we need it to handle the report, or the law requires it.
5. Misuse
Please only report content you really believe is illegal or against our terms. If someone often sends reports that are clearly unfounded, we may stop handling their reports for a while, after a warning.
6. Other questions
For anything else, see our points of contact or the Legal notice. How we handle the personal data in your report is explained in our Privacy Policy.
